Pray for Joplin
As you know, parts of Joplin were devasted Sunday by a massive F4 tornado. We are fine, we live about 10-20 miles away from the affected areas. However, we know several people who were directly affected. The landscape of the town Nathan and I have called home for 18 years is forever changed! The hospital that both our boys were born at is destroyed, as is the building that houses their pediatrician's office. The main strip in town, Rangeline Rd., which is home to numerous restaraunts and businesses took a very direct hit as well. Nathan's cousin lived a few blocks from the hospital and their home was badly damaged too--they are fine. Please pray for the emergency workers as the continue to search through the debris for any survivors. They need renewed physical and emotional strength to keep going and know when to rest. It is amazing to see the outpouring of help from the immediate community, the surrouding communities and even help from other parts of the state. As of today, Tuesday, there is a severe weather threat for our immediate area this evening. Please continue to pray. I will try to post pictures soon.
