Spring break

Last week was Spring Break for both boys. It was such a nice week! The boys went to Gumma and Poppy's Sunday through Tuesday. They were there for Gumma's birthday, so that was extra special for her! They came back Tuesday afternoon and we just relaxed and played! It was cool and cloudy, so made it easy to stay inside and "chill". It wasn't until Thursday when we finally saw the sun--after and entire week of clouds!! The temps warmed up a bit for us too--Friday was b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!! SO nice to be outside. Gumma came over late TH night after a trip to KC with Poppy, and stayed the night. She and the boys headed back up to Ash Grove Friday morning for one more "slumber party" before spring break ended. (I enjoyed a nice day running a couple of errands and shopping!) :o) Saturday morning, the rain was back and so was the cold! Gumma and I met half way to exchange the boys....just in time--it was beginning to sleet and snow on us! We made it back to our homes in time to get cozy and enjoy the snowy day--from the inside! We ended up getting one more big snow--we got about 7 or so inches of snow and lots of sleet and a touch a freezing rain! Church was cancelled due to the icy roads. It made for a nice, cozy day inside for our little family! What a nice way to end our week off! We played the Wii and watched movies and napped....it was wonderful! The snow is pretty much gone today....it will be gone for sure by this evening. It was so pretty, but we are so ready for spring and all the fun it brings!
