Disney Vacation Day 2: Magic Kingdom

Day 2 in Disney was Magic Kingdom--the busiest of all 4 parks, and I almost think the hottest day there!! We entered the already crowded park shortly after opening and headed straight for the Buzz Lightyear ride in Tomorrowland. I paused a minute or two to catch a glimpse of Cinderella's castle--the icon for all thing's Disney--on our way to Tomorrowland. What a fun ride--we had to shoot at the Z targets (Z for Zurg, sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance). Afterwards, we got to meet and get our picture with Buzz Lightyear himself! Then, we headed into Fantasyland where we rode Peter Pan and It's a Small World. By then, it was lunchtime and after that we rode the Pirates of the Carribean. Next, we rode the train over to Mickey's Toon Town Fair. That was one of the hottest parts of the day!! We walked through Mickey and Minnie's houses and then decided we'd seen enough and rode the train back to Splash Mountain. We were hoping we'd get wet on this one, but we just got a bit of a sprinkle. Next we did Thunder Mountain Railroad--a quick, but fun roller coaster and then we got ourselves some frozen refreshments! We took in the Jungle Cruise and the Hall of Presidents--which was neat! Then we headed back over to Tomorrowland for some shows--Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor--which both Trevor and I were a part of (we just got asked some questions) and another 3-D show. Our last ride of the day was Space Mountain--and indoor roller coaster--all in the dark. It was really fast and really neat! We all enjoyed it! Magic Kingdom has an light parade--floats w/ Christmas lights--and a fireworks show every night, but we were so worn out and hot from our day that we decided we'd leave after dinner and skip the shows--even though they would have been neat to see! It was dusk as we headed out of the park and the light parade was beginning----we followed the "castmembers" ushering us out of the park, but had to stop b/c Trevor wasn't feeling that great. We think some of that last ride, dinner and the heat of the day just didn't mix well with him! What a great way to end our time at the Magic Kingdom!! We took a couple of stops to "catch our breath" :o) as we went to the bus and successfully made it back to the hotel with no further issues! :o) It was a great day, but definitely our busiest and fullest!!
