Putting "sight words" to use

Sunday morning, the boys were building contraptions w/ legos. I stepped into the room to tell them breakfast was ready and they invited me over to see what they'd created. Trevor displayed his creation and then Cody proceeded to show me his. Then Cody told me he was looking for "this" piece. From what I could see, it was the same as the other side....I saw no difference. I asked what he was looking for. "This!" he replied as he pointed to the same piece again. "What piece. You have the same pieces there as the other," I said. Pointing at the lego, he quipped at me w/o hesitation: "This piece. T-H-I-S!!! This!!!" I turned away to keep from giggling. He sure is putting his sight words from school to use!
