Friday night we went out to eat and took the boys to the mall arcade to celebrate Trevor's "sound hound" award. It was a lot of fun....we all LOVE skee ball and they boys played air hockey for the first time. Saturday, Nathan's best friends from high school stopped by for a visit. Calvin, Tammie and their kids, Lane, McKenzie and Melanie live in Rolla. Calvin is a dentist there. We had a great time visiting with them, catching up....it's been a couple years since we've seen them. That makes a big difference with the kids....we couldn't believe how big their kids were...especially Lane--he's 10! Our boys had fun playing with them...once they all warmed up to each other. You know how that goes....shy at first and then really having fun right up to the time to leave. Sunday, we went to church, took naps :-), and worked a little outside--before it got dark! The trees are just marvelous this week! So vibrant. Isn't it funny how we see these every year, but every year we are awed and taken by their beauty! Isn't our God an awesome God?!! Enjoy His beauty and marvel in His glorious works!

I always enjoy the pictures and hearing about what's happening with the Herndons! The "teacher" in me appreciates that Trevor's school accomplishments are special to his family and celebrated in fun ways! Learning is fun!
With good moisture this year, the leaves are beautiful! Yes, our world is awesome and God is an awesome God!
Are you raking those pretty leaves? I'm trying to keep on top of them by mulch-mowing...but that's an everyday task!
