Trevor's 7th Birthday

Wow....what a busy birthday! We were up early for breakfast in bed. Poor Trevor was sound asleep--of all the Saturdays he sleeps in!! :o) We had just about an hour at home before we had to go to Trevor's basketball game. He did so well! We had two parties planned--a "friend" party and a "family" party. After basketball, we ran a quick party-related errand and then home to change just in time to leave for the party. We had Trevor's friend party at a Lazer tag place in town. Trevor's cousin, Evan, had his party there last summer and he had so much fun at it, I thought it would be fun to try it ourselves. It's just right for boys this age. They so love to run and chase with play guns! :o) The lazer tag facility offered a birthday package that included pizza, pop, cupcakes, two games of lazer tag and tokens for the arcade. (If you're not familiar with lazer tag--the players wear vests that are attached to lazer "guns". Your goal is to "shoot" the other players' vests to gain points. If their vest lights up, you've scored. The entire room is painted black with a city skyline, etc painted in glow-in-the-dark paints and there are black lights to add to the ambiance. They've created a maze of "walls" to run through and around.) The boys had SO MUCH FUN!! They were ready to play again as soon as the game was over! The party flew by! Everyone had a really good time!

On the way home, we had to go to a soccer "evaluation" for Trevor. He wants to try soccer instead of baseball this year, and Saturday was the last day for sign-ups and the mandatory evaluations. So, we included this detour in our trip home. It was FREEZING and windy, but we got it done! :o) Thanks daddy for standing outside with Trevor! :o)

Saturday evening, we had the family party. We kept it at just grandparents and aunts/uncles. It was fun. We ordered pizza and enjoyed visiting while the kids tore the play room apart! :o) Trevor was very excited for all of his presents and really enjoyed his birthday cake! It was a really FULL day!! While Nathan was lighting the candles, Poppy and Uncle Joe kept blowing out the candles to irritate Trevor. That happened just before this.....
