Busy day yesterday.... Cody and I went to a pumpkin patch with Mom's Connection (a group at church for mom's with young kids) for a hayride and pumpkin picking. It was a good time. A great day for it....partly sunny with a cool breeze and about 67 outside. We rode the hayride through the fields to feed some cows corn cobs. That was fun. They heard us coming and lined up ready to eat. We rode to the pumpkin section of the field (this farm grows all kinds of produce). We were able to pick one medium size pumpkin. That was great--the other place we've been lets you pick the mini pumpkins only. It was funny to hear all the moms say, "Are you sure you want that one, why don't we keep looking and we can come back to that one". (Including me!) Many of the kids wanted the first one they saw, however, we did hear some that had to look and look for just the right one. :-) 
Last night was our first parent/teacher conference for Trevor. He had a good report. He recieved mostly "S" for Satisfactory--which is the best on the list. He had a few P's for Progressing--mostly in the areas of "self-control" -listening and not disturbing others. That was expected somewhat...after all, he is a boy! He also needs to work on some of his fine motor skills--neatness in coloring, writing, and cutting. Again, he's a boy....neatness isn't a proirity...however we're not dismissing the practice he needs to do. We were proud of his report and found some areas to work on with him. Overall, he has done a tremendous job considering all that is expected of him and taught him in the first quarter.
Today is Trevor's first field trip with kindergarten. They're going to the pumpkin patch. It's one he's been to every fall since he was 1 1/2. They are calling for 100% chance of rain today--right now it's sunny and breezy, I'm praying the rain holds off until their trip is over. So far, so good!
