All Dressed Up

Cody's preschool had their pumpkin party last Wednesday. He was an "army guy". He wore an outfit Gumma got him from Surplus City in Springfield. They have all kinds of army stuff. We even found a pair of mud boots (that have been out in the garage forever) to complete the look. The classes paraded in the gym, then played some fun games, then headed back to the classroom for treats! Gumma came down and enjoyed the party as well.

Trevor's school doesn't do Halloween costumes, instead, they dress up in 50's gear to celebrate the 50th day of school. So, he donned his white tee shirt and blue jeans. :o) They had a sock-hop out on the playground where some of the teacher sang 50's songs and danced. Then they had a bubble blowing contest and a hoola-hoop contest, along with treats, in the classrooms.

Friday afternoon, we visited Nathan at work and the boys "trick-or-treated" the offices there. They had a great time and were very serious about their search for candy!

On Halloween, the boys dressed up again and we headed out to a few neighborhood homes to trick-or-treat again. Sadly, we only had about 5 trick-or-treaters visit our house, so now we have more than enough candy leftover! I think we either miss them as we're out and about, or we're just too hidden at the bottom of our hill. Either way, we still had a nice weekend.

Batman and Spiderman. You can't see it in the picture, but Spiderman's mask has eyes that light up blue. Very neat in the dark!
