Wiseman Wedding

My sister, Libby married Ross Wiseman this weekend. It was a beautiful wedding! We spent Friday, the day before the wedding, picking up the wedding dress, and bridesmaids dresses. We dropped some things off at the church and set some things up there, then got ready for the rehersal. It went well. The rehersal dinner was at Touch--the food was delicious! It was a nice, relaxing time. Trevor and Cody reconnected with their cousins, Lydia, Ellen and Mitchell. They were all pretty young the last time they saw each other, but they hit it off right away! :o) So fun to watch them!! It rained a bit Friday night, so we weren't sure what Saturday would bring, but it was a beautiful day...the sun was shining and birds singing. Mom and I picked Libby up bright and early to get her hair done, then we headed out to the reception location to set a few things up and make sure everything was coming together. Good thing we did, we realized her cake had the wrong color of ribbon around it. Her color is purple and the ribbon on her cake was black! We contacted the cake lady and she was going to try to get it fixed. (It did get fixed!) We got to the church just in time to start getting everyone dressed and ready. Libby just got happier and happier as the day went on!! I think she truly enjoyed herself on her wedding day! The ceremony was very nice...the pastor had great things to say and Ross and Libby lovingly gazed at each other and exchanged vows. Each of them had to fight back a few tears every now and then, but other than that they enjoyed the moment. The reception was beautiful....like a picture out of a magazine! It was held at Highland Springs Country Club and provided such a beautiful backdrop for the occasion. Ross and Libby had some pictures taken outside and I am sure they will be gorgeous pictures. It's just a beautiful time of year--the grass is bright green, the tulips are in bloom, the redbuds are blooming as if just for their wedding--in all their purple. The sun, which had tucked into some clouds off and on during the day, peeked back out just in time for their pictures and the reception to start. The food was wonderful, the cake was delicious and a good time was had on the dance floor! Ross and Libby left the reception by walking up the stairs, out the door and "into the darkness" as mom put it. :o) They left Sunday morning for Cancun, MX where they are staying at an all-inclusive resort. Libby sent an email yesterday that she left her camera on a plane and realized it too late. She does have a video camera, which can take still shots, but she's digusted to have "lost" her other camera. We are praying it will be returned to them safe and sound!! I have LOTS of pictures to post and will do so in shifts.
