Prayers Needed!

I follow a blog called mycharmingkids.net. I was led to this blog by a friend who had a link from her blog--did you follow that? :o) She posted that day about a baby who was not supposed to live, but was scheduled to be born that day. I have been hooked since. Stellan (the baby) was diagnosed with heart failure at around 23 weeks in utero. Over the course of her pregnancy, MckMama was told her baby would not live to be born. She was hospitalized and on bed rest for the majority of her pregnancy with Stellan. She and her husband trusted the Lord and placed Stellan in His hands. Stellan was born in October with no visible signs of heart trouble! Truly a miracle! This past weekend, Stellan had a cold and was having trouble breathing, so they took him to the hospital. He was given breathing treatments--specifically, nebulizer--which sent his heart into SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia). Basically, his heart began to beat uncontrollably fast. At times, MckMama reported it to be near 300 beats per minute. This was Sunday night. As of this morning, Stellan and MckMama are still in the hospital and Stellan is still in SVT. He has had some very scary episodes where he lapses into V-Tach--which is a very serious heart pattern and is deadly. He's been restless and, as MckMama reports "manic". He's had tons of medication trying to diminish the SVT. He's developed a diaper rash on top of all this. :o( Yesterday, he was able to get in two GOOD naps and had some sweet time with mama, cooing and smiling. Her report this morning said he is still in SVT, but slept wonderfully last night! Please join us in lifting Stellan up in prayer. The Lord is mighty to save and He is working here....we're just not sure what His plan is. You can click on the picture of Stellan on the left-hand side of my blog--it's just under the Weather box--it will take you right to MckMama's blog where you can see her updates.

Thank you!
