For the past 3 years, Leggett & Platt's IT dept, (Nathan's employer) gets tickets to a Springfield Cardinals baseball game. We have gone every time....just taking Trevor as Cody was too young. This year, the game fell on the same day as the Beth Moore simulcast that I planned to attend. So, Nathan took both boys with him to the game this year and I went to my simulcast. (I'll post about that later) They had a good time despite the excessive heat. (It has been near 100 for the past week and the upper 90s for the past 2 weeks solid! Today is it expected to break 100, and of course, the heat index is well into the 100s and so is the humidity!) Some friends of ours from work/church were sitting behind Nate and the boys, which was good entertainment for Cody. Olivia is 6 and in first grade too, and Sophie is 3 and has played with Cody at a couple of library events. The games on Friday nights end with a spectacular fireworks display. The Cardinals won too. After a stop for gas, potty and ice cream, Nathan and the boys headed home--arriving at midnight!
Nate and the boys at the game.... Cody's "pouting" after Sophie knocked his hat off. :-)
