Nathan took Friday off for a family day--one last summer fun day. We planned on going to White Water to use up our rain ticket passes, however it was too cool for that. So,we decided to take in the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars, movie. It's a cartoon that takes place between episodes II and III. The kids enjoyed it and all the action. At one point during the movie, Cody was shooting his imaginary gun at the screen, hoping to help the Clone Troopers. :-) After the movie, we loaded up and headed down to Rogers for Nana's birthday. We met up with Nana, Uncle Joe, Aunt Christy, Kaydley and Deric at Nana's favorite Chinese restaurant. After dinner, we went bowling. It was so much fun. It's been years since all of us adults have bowled and none of the kids have bowled before. The kids had a great time....playing with the keyboard on the score table and the air blower on the ball return. Trevor really enjoyed bowling. He's been asking us for some time to go bowling. He did really well. They put up rails on the lane so the kids don't ever get "gutter balls". So much fun. We all spent the night at Nana's house--and everyone slept! :-) Saturday, we went over to Bella Vista and walked on a trail up to see a lake and a beautiful waterfall. We all had a great time on the walk. We drove home after eating lunch and we all took a nap! We were so tired! It was such a fun way to celebrate Nana's birthday.

Deric, Cody, Kaydley and Trevor....weren't that into the game.
It's hard to tell in this picture, but it's a HUGE hill and we walked up it!! Felt the burn on that!

The waterfall we "hiked" to.

After being without telephone & computer for several days, I am just now catching up on the past several days of Blogging. I'm excited with you and Trevor as his new school year starts! Sounds like you're off to a great start!
What fun activity before the start and for Nana's birthday weekend....
Obviously the Open House provided a great experience for readiness and introduction to first grade, his classroom, classmates and school! Super opportunity for building Trevor's (and family too) comfort level for the first day! I chuckled with understanding as I read about the school hallway "maze" which will soon become so routine! Trevor's teacher sounds super!
Happy first week....Thanks for the blog and the pix!
Love you all............
