Update on Cody's ear

We went back to the Ear, Nose and Throat Dr. last Monday (12/1). He looked in Cody's ear and prescribed some more ear drops to help clear up the fluid still in the ear. He said it appears the ear drum is healing. He said he thinks the "perforation" in the ear drum was caused by an ear infection...and not the q-tip. However, Dr. McDonald explained, often when there is an ear infection that injures the ear drum, the drum iteself begins to heal even though the fluid that caused the infection is still there...thus causing possible repeat damage. So, we will go back to Dr. McDonald next Monday (12/15) and he will check the ear again. He will further assess the situation then, but he said there is a possiblity we will have to do tubes. :o( We will update after our visit next week.
