Yesterday was Trevor's first "real " visit to the dentist. (We've been for a "happy visit") We've noticed a spot on one of his back teeth and wanted to get it checked, plus it was time he got his teeth checked out and cleaned. He was so cute to watch. Such a "Curious George". :o) He asked all kinds of questions...catching the hygenist off-guard. :o) He got to see an x-ray of his whole mouth. He just made himself at home. :o) He is a very easy gagger, so the bite-wing x-rays didn't get done....and when he had to open really wide it was a challenge for him! :o) Bless his heart....he did so good and was just so sweet to watch! Our dentist, Dr. Patterson, is SO good! We found out that Trevor is actually "missing" some teeth: in the back of his mouth--next to what will be his 6 year molars--there's no adult tooth underneath--in fact, it's the tooth with the cavity. Great. This is hereditary, per Dr. Patterson, and isn't a huge deal, he just needs to work hard on keeping them clean as they will be with him forever....no adult teeth to replace them. Not sure where that comes from....never heard of it before. But, the reality of being responsible for our kids' dental work sank in. Ugh! :o) Trevor had a good experience, and hopefully, the filling visit will be just as good. We'll see.......

Getting his teeth pollished.

This is his effort to "smile". He looks scared...but he's just not my poser. :o)
