Finally.....SNOW!!

We finally got snow!! Monday afternoon and evening we got freezing drizzle and sleet. It began about 2:30 and came down hard and fast. Trevor's bus was 30 minutes late and it was sliding as the bus driver applied the brakes--she was even creeping along! I drove the van up the street to get Trevor from the bus and I was stuck for a couple of minutes trying to gain traction to get turned around to go back down the street! The roads were very slick MOnday and Tuesday. The sleet and ice and light snow continued all day Tuesday and it began to snow heavily Tuesday afternoon. The snow stopped sometime during the late evening. It was so fun and so pretty! We went out and enjoyed the icy grass and street yesterday and we will go out and enjoy the beautiful snow on top of it today! The temps are supposed to stay below 30 during the next couple of days and in the teens at night, so not sure if this will melt anytime soon. The sun is out today, but it will have to burn really hard to get it all to melt. We may be out of school again tomorrow too....another day to play!
