Last year, during our ice storm, we moved our matresses out into our living room to help keep us warm. The kids thought this was great! It was fun and cozy. Trevor has talked about it off and on and Nathan thought Christmas break would be a great time to do that again. We decided New Year's Day would be the best b/c we had no plans the next day (we figured it might not be the best night's sleep). :o) We took our mattress and Trevor's (his is a full) and put them on the floor. The boys had SO much fun jumping from the couch onto the mattresses and running from one to the other. So, we rented a movie, ate some pizza and snuggled in our jammies on our beds in the living room. Nathan made a fire so we'd be extra cozy---it went out about 2 or 3 in the morning so it was a little chilly after that, but still fun! It took the boys several minutes (LONG minutes) to calm down and drift off to sleep. They were so excited to get to sleep together and to get to be in the living room!! :o) It was a fun time and a great memory. We may even make it a New Year's tradition!
