Our old next-door-neighbor, Valeri, called last night to let us know her daugher, Brittany, is in the hospital. Friday night, Brittany (who is 14) was running outside and fell, landing on the curb. She cut her chin and broke two ribs which punctured her lung. The ribs she broke are just below her collar bone. They had a tube in her lung to help keep in inflated, but when they removed the tube on Sunday, the lung collapsed again. They put it back in and removed it yesterday and it stayed inflated and x-rays looked good. They are hoping to come home today. The day before Brittany fell, Valeri was in a traffic accident and their van now needs repair. Valeri and Nick have Brittany's older sister, Monica and a baby, Lily who is 7 mos. Valeri babysits several little kids in her home. Please pray for Brittany's healing and for quick recovery for her and their van. (and for help dealing with the no doubt hefty hospital bill) :o) Thanks!
***EDITED TO UPDATE*** Brittany went home Wed night. We went to visit her in the hospital and she looked really good and was anxious to get back to school! Thanks for your prayers.
