Yesterday was Cody's pumpkin party at preschool. He was so excited to dress up as "an Army guy"....again. That's what he was last year....probably with the thought in mind that he wouldn't be able to wear the outfit again. (Well.....he probably shouldn't wear the outfit anymore...at least out in public. I realized after he was dressed that the legs of the pants hit a few inches below his knee. And his boots were on the wrong feet....the entire time!) :o) But, he had a great time. It's so much fun to get to see all the cute costumes!! They begin the party with a parade and then a group performance. Then it's off to the classrooms for one small class performance and then snacks, a craft and off to play games. We brought a cookie cake with spiders on it and there were cheese cubes, pretzels and apple juice. We made a scarecrow face together. Then, we went downstairs to play musical chairs/cake "walk"--which was so funny b/c the kids had NO idea what they were doing....and kept marching across the room instead of turning to go around the chairs. They quickly got the hang of it after a couple of rounds. They each got to pick a "cake"--in the form of hostess cupcake type treats. Then they got to go through an obstacle course and the party was over. So much fun.

Too cute - the boots on the wrong feet is too funny - Maelynn does that all the time too! How they can't tell I will never no. It looks like it really hurts. Oh and the spiders - super scary - don't know if I could have gotten them!!
